Extensive walks, cycling tours through untouched nature, walking barefoot over endless sandy beaches and all this in the best North Sea air.
The Island Borkum
Borkum is the westernmost and largest of the East Frisian islands. The total of 31 square kilometres also form the area of the town of Borkum, which is a state-approved North Sea spa. Some parts of the island of Borkum belong to the Wadden Sea National Park of Lower Saxony.
The island's iodine-containing and pollen-free high sea climate is particularly allergy-friendly and allows all visitors to breathe deeply. In addition to the healthy climate, Borkum has a lot of untouched nature, wide sandy beaches and seal benches, wellness for body and soul, a gastronomic variety and a little shopping.
Parents enjoy relaxing hours on Borkum's beaches, while the children romp about undisturbed at the beach Jugendbad or try out one attraction after another in the adventure pool. The four-legged friends are cordially welcome at the Borkumer bathing beach Südbad and water sport lovers find sufficient possibilities for surfing, sailing or kiting.
The adventure pool on Borkum is one of the few swimming pools in Germany that offers an indoor surfing facility - fun for beginners and advanced surfers guaranteed.
In addition to the adventure pool, the tidal land on Borkum offers a wellness oasis that leaves nothing to be desired. From various saunas, numerous wellness treatments such as peelings, baths and massages to cosmetic and physiotherapeutic treatments - discover your wellness programme during a stay at Ostfriesenhof on Borkum.
